How do I set up my voicemail PIN? add close

To check your Voicemail messages when away from home, dial your home number and when the greeting begins press * then enter your password.

 

Otherwise:
For Maritime/Newfoundland Regions - Press *99

For Ontario/Alberta/British Columbia Regions - Press *98

The temporary PIN for set up will be the last 4 digits of your telephone number.

To create a new password or to change your current password:

  1. Press 4 on the main menu to administer your account
  2. Press 2 to administer mailbox preferences
  3. Press 1 to administer your PIN
  4. Enter new PIN and Press #
  5. To accept Press 1
  6. To try again Press 2

To Disable/Enable PIN requirement (from home only):

  1. Press 4 on the main menu to administer your account
  2. Press 2 to administer mailbox preferences
  3. Press 3 to administer auto login
  4. To set auto login to on Press 1
  5. To set auto login to off Press 2

Locate your Home Phone modem (MTA):

  • Make sure it has power and is plugged into a power source.
  • Check to see if the coax cable is securely connected and the telephone cord is plugged into Tel 1.

Make sure all phone sets are not off the hook and are properly connected.

Ensure that the telephone cord is secure to the phone set and the telephone jack on the wall and is not damaged.

A cordless phone must be plugged in to a power source and handsets charged.

Check if this issue is happening on all or just one phone set:

  • If only one phone is not working, connect a working phone to the same phone jack to determine if this issue is with that jack or handset.

On the back of the home phone modem press and hold the Reset button using a pointed object for 15-20 seconds. Allow 2 minutes to reconnect then try again.

Why can't I make a long distance phone call? add close

All long distance calls require you to subscribe to a Long Distance plan of your choice. If you do not have a plan, long distance dialing is restricted. To add a Long Distance plan, contact us by clicking the online chat button or calling us.

How can I change the number of rings before my voicemail picks up? add close

You can adjust the number of rings before voicemail picks up by dialing *94 and then pressing any number from 2-9.
